Personalised Neurofeedback and Photobiomodulation Programmes

Brain-based programmes for adults, children and athletes, tailored around individual goals, assessment findings and response to training. Our approach may combine neurofeedback and photobiomodulation as part of a personalised programme designed around each client’s needs. Progress is reviewed over time, allowing the programme to be adjusted as training develops.

Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive form of brain training that uses real-time EEG information to help the brain practise more balanced and efficient patterns of activity.

Small sensors placed on the scalp measure brainwave activity while the client watches a video, scene or other visual feedback. Nothing is transmitted into the brain — the sensors simply record activity.

How Neurofeedback Works

01 - Measure

EEG sensors monitor brainwave activity in real time. The information gathered helps guide an individual training approach.

02 - Feedback

The client receives visual or auditory feedback that responds to changes in brain activity. For example, a video may become clearer or continue playing when the targeted pattern is produced.

03 - Train

Through repeated sessions, the brain has opportunities to practise and reinforce more effective patterns of self-regulation. The programme can be adjusted over time according to the client’s response and goals.

How Neurofeedback Can Help

  • Cognitive performance and mental clarity
  • Learning and executive functioning
  • Performance and composure under pressure
  • Attention and concentration
  • Emotional and stress regulation
  • Sleep and relaxation

Photobiomodulation (PBM)

Photobiomodulation uses near-infrared light delivered to the head as part of a non-invasive brain-based programme. The light is intended to interact with cellular processes involved in energy production and healthy brain function.

At Neural Synchrony, photobiomodulation is used according to the individual’s goals and may be provided on its own or incorporated into a broader programme.

How PBM Works

01 - LIGHT

Near-infrared light is delivered through the Neuronic device during a short, comfortable session.

02 - CELLULAR RESPONSE

The light interacts with cellular processes associated with energy production and metabolic activity in the brain.

04 - REVIEW AND ADAPT

The frequency and settings of sessions are tailored to the individual, with progress and response reviewed over time and the programme adjusted where appropriate.

How PBM Can Help

  • Mental clarity and cognitive performance
  • Relaxation and stress regulation
  • Sleep and recovery
  • Attention and sustained focus
  • General brain-health and wellness goals
  • Support within an integrated neurofeedback programme

Integrated Programmes

For some clients, neurofeedback and photobiomodulation may be incorporated into one coordinated programme.

The two approaches are not performed simultaneously. They may be used during separate sessions or at different stages of the programme, depending on the individual’s goals, assessment findings and response over time.

Why Use an Integrated Approach?

An integrated programme allows different aspects of brain-based training to be addressed within one coordinated plan while keeping the programme individual rather than protocol-driven.

Not every client requires both approaches. The decision to integrate neurofeedback and photobiomodulation is based on the individual and the goals of the programme.
